Holy Week & Easter 2026

The Triduum or Great Three Days is the culmination of our liturgical year, during which we observe with great devotion the final events of Jesus' earthly life, his betrayal, arrest, and crucifixion. And we celebrate with great joy the triumph of his resurrection. We invite you to enter into the drama of the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus in these moving services.

Maundy Thursday tells the story of the Last Supper and Jesus' humble act of service in washing his disciples' feet. We begin with a supper at 6:00 pm. The service continues around tables in the Great Hall and concludes in the church with the stripping of the altar. Following the service there is an all-night prayer vigil. You can choose to pray at church or at home. Sign up here.

Good Friday at 12 noon we take turns holding a large wooden cross as we pray the Stations of the Cross. At 7:00 pm the Good Friday liturgy includes the reading or chanting of the Passion according to John and the veneration of the Cross.

The Great Vigil of Easter on Holy Saturday is the liturgical high point of the year. We begin by lighting the new fire outside, then process into the Great Hall in darkness. We tell the story of salvation from the Hebrew Scriptures and celebrate baptisms, then process to the church for the first Eucharist of Easter.

And of course Easter Day continues the celebration of the joy of the resurrection.

Come and participate in as many of these services as you can. If you'd like to read a lesson at one of these services, sign up below.
